Paper resume’s may be going the way of the dodo bird, but there’s a certain skill in being able to present yourself clearly on one 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper. If you are reading this, you’re already on my website, so I encourage you to take a few minutes and look around. That said, my resume provides a great CliffNotes of my career.

For the past 7 years, spanning my last three jobs, I’ve led teams of various sizes. My first leadership role was at a small ad agency in Portsmouth, NH, where I lead a team of 3 account managers while also handling the two largest accounts the agency held myself. From a leadership standpoint, I handled job postings, initial interviews, work distribution, and any issues that arose with either employees or their accounts.
Since then I’ve run two additional small teams, including the enterprise communications team at my current company, Jabra.
I firmly believe leadership is a skill people are either born with or without, but I’m also very aware of the fact that people can always improve. I was fortunate enough to be born with that skill, but I don’t think I’d be the leader I am today without the 7+ years of experience I now have leading people.
Big Picture Strategic Skills
Media Stragegic Skills
It’s one thing to produce content and collateral, it’s another thing to produce the right content and collateral at the right time. As marketing and communication professionals, we have a seemingly unlimited amount of tools, platforms, and potential messaging available to us at any time, but knowing which tools to use, how to use them, and when to use each is where the magic happens. That’s strategy.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the smartest, most strategic people I’ve ever met over my career so far, and I feel confident in saying I’ve learned a lot from each of them. A good strategy is always evolving, just as a good strategic thinker is always learning and finding new ways to get their message to the right people at the right time.
From developing paid media plans for healthcare and bank clients while working on the agency side to defining social strategy and working on product positioning at Jabra, I’ve been using the strategic side of my brain for the better part of the last decade. And with that experience, spanning multiple industries, I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t work and how to always be thinking a few steps ahead.
Well before I took on leadership and more strategic positions, I spent the first few years of my career as a production designer laying out documents for large tech clients. Although tedious at the time, spending 40+ hours a week using the Adobe Creative Suite (CS 5 back then) provided me with a solid foundation and understanding of graphics and all that’s involved in creating a high-quality final product.
I’ve continued to hone my creative and design skills in the years since I worked as a production artist and have even taught a hand full of people design concepts and how to use the creative suite. Simply put, I know my way around the Adobe creative suite like I know the back of my hand.
Video
I’ve always enjoyed creating videos. When I was young, I’d take my dad’s video camera and record whiffle ball games in my backyard. I took a few video classes in college and have taken advantage of every opportunity in my professional life to make videos. When I joined Vizulux in 2017, my video skills were immediately put to use, and when I moved on to Jabra, they were again a great asset for myself and my company. In fact, I’ve done more than 200 video projects of varying sizes and complexity since I joined Jabra in 2019.

There you’ll see numerous videos that I’ve created, as well as a few radio ads I scripted, recorded, and released. There’s even some backstory provided around a few of the more prominent multimedia projects I’ve worked on over the years.
I’ve been working on web projects, both small and large, since 2015. I’m by no means a mind-blowing web developer, but I have been a vital piece in the creation of well over a dozen websites. Before I got my hands dirty building websites, I was the lead account manager on an enormous $80K web project for a regional hospital (avhnh.org) and served the same role on a few campaign-specific microsites we built for a few former bank clients of mine. Eventually, I tried my hand at web design and built and designed microsites for various projects. When I moved on to Vizuluxe I designed and built almost a dozen WordPress sites for subdivisions we branded and even lead the redesign of the New Hampshire Home Builders family of websites, including the complete overhaul of the NHHBA.com website.
I know the ins and outs of the “website process.” From proposal to delivery, I’ve been involved in every step of the process, and, although I wouldn’t consider myself a web developer, knowing the ins and outs of web design and development is a valuable skill.
Oh yea, I built this very site you’re on right now.
